Department of Health (DOH) - CALABARZON (Cavite, Laguna, Batangas, Rizal, Quezon) today announced that it has achieved its vaccination target of 1.020,000 jabs in three days by attaining a total of 1,028,356 doses or 101% as of 7PM yesterday.
Laguna leads the provinces with the highest number of Covid vaccine doses given with 253,568 from a commitment target of 210,660 followed by Batangas with 245,485 jabs from a target of 230,556, Cavite - 235,596 with a target of 289,482, Rizal – 152,845 with a target of 171,852 and Quezon - 140,862 vaccinated with 117,450 targets.
For percentage of accomplishment the provinces of Laguna and Quezon has the highest with 120% success rate followed by Batangas with 106%, Rizal with 89% and Cavite – 81%.
“The success of the 3-day NVD was due to the dedication and commitment of our health workers who joined the event, our partners agencies, DEPED. the DILG, BJMP, PNP, OCD, BFP, the local government units and specially our barangay officials and health workers who diligently sought out every eligible individual in the community and encouraged them to be vaccinated. Maraming salamat po sa inyong lahat,” Regional Director Ariel I. Valencia stated.
“Any endeavor po, gaano man ito kahirap gawin ay makakayang tapusin kung tayong lahat at nagtutulungan. Maraming salamat po sa lahat ng nagtrabaho at nakasama po namin upang ang ating “Bayanihan, Bakunahan” sa CALABARZON ay maging matagumpay.”
Valencia added that there will be a second round of the “Bayanihan, Bakunahan” this month to vaccinate the remaining eligible population for protection against the Covid-19 virus including its variants and also as a safeguard from the threat of Omicron variant.
