The Department of Health- Center for Health Development (DOH-CHD) CALABARZON (Cavite, Laguna, Batangas, Rizal, Quezon) recognized twenty-six (26) of its employees whose bravery, compassion, and dedication made it possible for the victims of Super Typhoon “Karding” to have access to health services as the typhoon wreaked havoc in the Islands of Polillo and Burdeos.
Appreciation Certificates were awarded to the 26 DOH CHD CALABARZON employees by DOH CALABARZON Regional Director Ariel I. Valencia, Assistant Regional Director Leda M. Hernandez, Chief Administrative Officer (CAO) Racel G. Carreon, Local Health Support Division (LHSD) Chief, Dr. Ma. Elena G. Castillo-Gonzales, and Field Implementation and Management Cluster (FIMC) Head, Dr. Jennifer Monica Victorino, in a ceremony held at the DOH CALABARZON Regional Office in Quezon City today, October 24, 2022.

The 26 employees are among the 36-member medical team deployed in the island municipality of Burdeos from October 3 to October 9, 2022, and is composed of medical professionals from the DOH Regional Office, Quezon Provincial Health Office (PHO), and Batangas Medical Center (Bat MC). Dr. Voltaire S. Guadalupe of the Regional Disaster Risk Reduction Management for Health (RDRRM-H) led the team.
