The Department of Health (DOH) - CalaBaRZon (Cavite, Laguna, Rizal, Batangas, Quezon) and the City Government of Bacoor on Saturday led the groundbreaking ceremony for the construction of a new building for the Southern Tagalog Regional Hospital located in Bacoor, Cavite.
According to Regional Director Eduardo C. Janairo, the new building will further provide new facilities that will increase health care services to its clients.
The 4-storey building with roof deck has a budget of P200M from the DOH Health Facility Enhancement Fund (HFEP).
HFEP is a government program that assists public health facilities in improving their facilities by providing them better equipment and infrastructure to be able to give quality health care service to the community.
Janairo also expressed gratitude for the continuous support of the local government of Bacoor particularly 2nd District Representative Strike B. Revilla and City Mayor Lani Mercado-Revilla for their selfless commitment in the development and growth of STRH.
The groundbreaking ceremony coincided with the 2nd year Foundation Anniversary of STRH, which was established on February 20, 2019 by virtue of Republic Act 11233 signed by President Rodrigo R. Duterte.
The Southern Tagalog Regional Hospital is one of the two apex hospital of DOH-CALABARZON. It was formerly known as the Bacoor District Hospital.
