Press Release/July 24, 2020

Department of Health (DOH) - CALABARZON (Cavite, Laguna, Batangas, Rizal and Quezon) yesterday opens the first model clinic in the country located in Barangay Talaibon, Ibaan, Batangas that will cater for the health needs of the community at the local level.

“This will be the first of its kind in the country wherein it has a higher standard of care than that of a regular rural health unit facility. Mayroon itong observation room para sa mga pasyente at dito muna sila ilalagay for a short period of time upang matingnan silang mabuti ng ating mga duktor upang malaman kung sila ay kailangang i-admit o hindi. Meron din itong polyclinic na magbibigay ng treatment and care sa iba’t-ibang klase ng sakit or diseases,” Regional Director Eduardo C. Janairo stated in his message during the blessing and opening of the Ibaan Medical Clinic.

The medical clinic has a 3-bed capacity with medical equipment provided for by the regional office. It will operate as a semi-emergency medical clinic.

“In this model clinic, we would like to show that there are ways where we can provide the best care possible to the community.

The Ibaan Medical Clinic will be primarily funded by the regional office including the salaries of its doctors and nurses.

The Ibaan Medical clinic will provide free check-up and distribute multi-vitamins and ascorbic acids for its first three days of operation.
